What is the minimum qualifications to be a prime minister and president of the India?
To be eligible to become the Prime Minister or President of India, a person must meet the following qualifications:
Prime Minister:
Must be a citizen of India.
Must be a member of the Lok Sabha (Lower House of Parliament) or the Rajya Sabha (Upper House of Parliament).
President:
Must be a citizen of India.
Must have completed 35 years of age.
Must be eligible to be a member of the Lok Sabha.
Additionally, the President must not hold any office of profit under the government of India or the government of any state, and must not be a member of either house of parliament or of a house of the legislature of any state. The Prime Minister must be a member of either house of parliament and must command the majority support of the Lok Sabha.
