The colors of roses and violets are not determined by their species, but rather by pigments within the flowers. The color of a rose is determined by the presence of pigments called anthocyanins, which are found in the petals. Violets, on the other hand, contain a pigment called delphinidin which gives them their blue color. It’s important to note that there are different varieties of roses, some are red, some are pink, yellow, white and even black. Similarly Violets also come in different colors like white, yellow, and purple.
